Premier’s Active April is part of the Victorian Government’s commitment to promote healthy and active lifestyles. Participants can also track their physical activity with the Activity Timer thanks to our web app and mobile app for iOS and Android.
We’re keeping Active April going! Due to COVID-19, all participant offers and incentives for Premier’s Active April 2020 have been withdrawn.
This year participants can sync their Fitbit with their Premier’s Active April app to track their activity. You can still manually add your activity to the Activity Tracker.
Registrations opened on 7 February 2020, and for the first time ever, Active April has remained opened beyond April. Each person who registered for Premier’s Active April 2020 before 30 April 2020 went into a random draw to win a major prize.

If you participated in Premier’s Active April in 2019, you’ll receive an email inviting you to re-register. By clicking the re-register button in the email you can:
If for some reason you don’t receive this email (remember to check your Junk or Spam folders), you can Re-register online now by entering your 2019 username and password. If you don’t remember your username or password, you can retrieve these details from the re-registration page or complete a new registration.
We encourage you to complete individual registrations where possible.

If both you and your work colleagues are not receiving emails, it’s possible that your workplace network is treating these emails as spam. If that’s the case, please speak to your System Administrator and ask for firstname.lastname@example.org to be whitelisted. Please Contact Us if you have further questions surrounding this.
It’s also possible that you’ve made an error when entering your email address during registration. If you are still having problems receiving emails please Contact Us.
Don’t worry, just click the ‘Forgot Password?’ link on the log in page. You’ll be prompted to enter the email address you used when registering. We’ll then send you an email with a link to reset your password.
Once you’ve clicked on that link, you can change your password to something that’s easy to remember.

For the first time, registrations will remain open beyond 30 April 2020, but of course it’s much better to register earlier so that you can challenge yourself to do 30 minutes of physical activity a day during April.
Participants who track their activity on the mobile or web app will be eligible to achieve online trophies for completing 30 minutes of activity on a certain number of days. There are activity trophies for tracking 5, 10, 15, 20, and 30 days of activity – so set yourself the challenge and see how many days and trophies you can collect.
Yes, it is important to update your Premier’s Active April app in the App Store or Google Play, otherwise, you will not be able to see all features. There should be a prompt to update your app when you click on the icon.

You can track your activity levels from the Active April mobile or web app.
Simply Log In from your smartphone, tablet or computer and click the ‘Track Activity’ button from the Dashboard. It’s a really easy way to see how you’re going, track your own and your teammates activity and encourage each other to get even more active. This year, we’ve made it easier than ever to track your workouts with the Activity Timer or simply sync the app with your Fitbit.
Tracking activity in the tracker is not mandatory. However, logging your activity will help you achieve online trophies as you reach certain milestones for the number of days you have completed at least 30 minutes of activity.
In 2020, participants can sync their Fitbit with the Premier’s Active April app, making activity tracking easier than ever before.
The syncing process is really simple;

By using the ‘Logged in as’ function.
Simply choose from the dropdown menu which user you want to be logged in as, and you’ll be able to view the app as though you were them. In doing this you can record activity, accept notifications from the Notifications page or update their profile.
Alternatively, people within your account can log in themselves using their username and password to track their own activity.
Adding activity for a whole team
The Team Owner can add activity for the whole team by going to the Tracker and when adding their activity, simply ticking the box that says ‘Tick if you completed this activity with others to add time to your teammates trackers.’
That’s okay – just challenge yourself to be active for at least 30 minutes on as many days as you can. If you think you are currently active three days a week, why not set yourself a challenge to make it four or more? It’s all about building physical activity into your daily routine in the long term.
Participants must track their daily activity in the mobile or web app to achieve online trophies. The first activity trophy is for tracking 5 days – so set yourself and your friends the challenge and see how many days and trophies you can collect.
When you’ve logged 5, 10, 15, 20, or 30 days with 30 minutes of activity or more, you’ll get a notification in the mobile or web app that trophies are available to view in your Trophy Cabinet to then print out.
Yes. If they’ve registered and know your Team ID they can send you a request to join the virtual team. You’ll receive an email notification, then all you have to do is log in and accept the request.
Alternatively, when creating a virtual team you can also choose the option to allow people to automatically join without having to accept their request. Simply tick the box ‘People can join this virtual team without my approval’ when creating the virtual team.
Yes. You can create up to 5 virtual teams and join up to 10 teams.
Yes. Just remember that deleted teams cannot be recovered.
No. Deleting a virtual team won’t delete any users that you’ve registered into your account. You’ll still be able to view their details from the Profile page of the mobile or web app, or by using the ‘Logged in as’ functionality to view as though you were logged in as them.
If another person has registered you as an account member within their account (usually done for children under 12 years old) you’ll be unable to create new virtual teams. We’ve done this for security reasons, but don’t worry, you can still join up to 10 virtual teams.
You can request to join teams if you know the Team ID of the teams you’d like to join. Or tell the team owner your Active April username and they can invite you to join the virtual team.
If you’ve just registered this person into your account, you’ll need to refresh your browser page in order to see them in the menu. Try that, or simply click to another page and it will refresh itself.
For privacy and usability reasons, we need to reset the virtual teams each year as there is no way of knowing whether the virtual Team Creator still wants to manage that virtual team, or whether the participants still want to be a part of that virtual team. For example, with schools and workplaces, students will change classes or people will move jobs.
But don’t worry – if you registered people into your account last year (such as children or friends without a personal email address), you’ll be asked during re-registration if you’d like to keep or remove these people. After registration, you can easily create new virtual teams and add people as required.
You can also use the ‘Logged in as’ functionality to easily view the mobile or web app as though you were logged in as the different people in your account.
