Cadel Evans – Swisse People’s Ride

One of the great legacies of Cadel Evans’ career and achievements has been the inspiration he has provided for thousands of Australians to get up and about and active again.

And never is this more evident, than during the spectacular Swisse People’s Ride on the weekend of the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race staged on the roads of Geelong and the majestic Surf Coast.

Held at the end of January 2019, the ride is the best way to experience Australia’s world famous coastline. This year, Active April is giving you and your friends the opportunity to be a part of this great ride with the Teams Plus Challenge. You could win four free entries into the Cadel Evans Swisse People’s Ride simply by creating a team and inviting your friends to join using your unique Team ID. For every team member you add, a ticket goes into the draw so add as many people as you can to increase your chances of winning.

A Saturday morning dawn roll-out sees thousands of keen amateur cyclists, one-day-a-year cyclists and regular groups of families, friends and work colleagues come together to take on the magnificent circuit that the professional men’s and women’s riders race on over the following 24 hours. There is something to cater for every ability with 35km, 65km and 115km ride options, all on the roads Cadel made famous in his pursuit of the coveted yellow jersey of the Tour de France.

The circuit takes riders rolling through Barwon Heads and the Thirteenth Beach coastline, onto the Torquay Esplanade and iconic Bells Beach hill climbs, through the rural landscape of Moriac and Ceres before arriving back in Geelong to tackle Challambra and a lap of the course.

It’s never too soon to start preparing and there are fantastic early bird entry incentives on offer now, so create your own Swisse People’s Ride ‘peloton’ and be a big part of the 2019 Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race. Visit the website for more details. And don’t forget to enter the Teams Plus Challenge for your chance to win four free entries with Active April.
