There are lots of things to love about Easter. Spending time with friends and family. Chocolate and a long weekend with plenty of time to get active.
Premier’s Active April is about to kick off and the Easter weekend is the perfect opportunity to embrace an active lifestyle and achieve your 30 minutes of physical activity a day. For those that may need a little extra support keeping active, we have compiled some easy, fun Easter tips for you and your family!
Don’t let the kids have all the fun this Easter morning. If you’re up for a bit of old-fashioned entertainment, get your legs moving with an Easter egg hunt. To make the most out of the hunt, spread it over a large area.
If you’re heading to the beach, why not take the opportunity to go for a walk each morning or for a swim in the ocean? If you’re into running or hiking, find a scenic route and make the most of your new surroundings. If in doubt, you can always pack the skipping rope, a ball or racquets too for a spot of outdoor physical activity anywhere!

Many Victorians love the footy – watching it, talking about it, and going to it. So why not have a go at playing it? This weekend grab your family and friends and a football and head down to your local park for some pre-game fun!
