Premiers Active April
Head on down to Hippo Beach at Werribee Open Range Zoo for a swim, splash and run in the sand!
Hang out with the Hippos as Hippo Beach comes to life for children big and small!
Build a castle in the sand, splash through the pool and learn about these amazing animals at the daily Keeper presentation.
Every lunch time at 1:10pm during the school holidays, the Keepers will provide a fascinating insight into the behaviours, care and unique personalities of the hippo group.
As the kids enjoy a spot of water play and fun in the sand, they’ll also learn all about these massive herbivores!
Starting with an important health check, Keepers will take a look at each hippo’s teeth, tusks and gums, followed by a special feed on the beach as the hippos emerge from the water for a spot of lunch!
So pack the swimsuits and get active these Autumn School Holidays at Hippo Beach! Don’t forget, children under 16 receive free entry to all three zoos every Victorian Government school holidays, public holidays and weekends.
