Premiers Active April

Premier’s Active April 2019 is making it their mission to support parents and schools to encourage, empower and enable more students to get physically active on their journey to and from school.

Whether it be hopping on a bike, walking or cruising on a skateboard, it’s all about creating a fun and active ride to school while promoting a healthy school community.

That’s why Bicycle Network have teamed up with Premier’s Active April once again this year to help all students be as active as possible. Students who ride or walk to school contribute to their minimum physical activity level of 60 minutes per day. They are also more focused and ready to learn compared to those who are driven to school.

Bicycle Network’s Ride2School Program supports thousands of schools across Australia to develop a healthy active travel culture. By participating in Bicycle Network’s Ride2School Day held on 22 March 2019 and submitting their school’s Ride2School Day HandsUp! count data before midnight 31 March 2019, your school could win a Bicycle Network Active Map prize and a bike education workshop with a healthy breakfast for up to 30 students!

So, why not be a part of this amazing movement and encourage your kids to ride to school and win great prizes while you do it. To get your school involved in Premier’s Active April 2019 click on How to Register.

Most Active School

Physical activity helps promote healthy growth and development, builds strong bones and muscles, helps improve sleep and helps improve confidence and self esteem in children! That’s why Premier’s Active April is committed to helping schools shape the health and wellbeing of young Victorians.

We know it can be tough trying to get everyone involved and motivated so that’s why we are rewarding the most active school during Active April with a $2000 Sportsmart voucher!

At midnight 30 April 2019, we’ll tally the total activity tracked by all students and teachers within each school.

How do I help my school win?

1. Log in and go to the Profile page

2. Fill in the form under ‘Register Account Members’ and assign your classmates and teachers to your school
