Penguin Playtime at SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium this school holidays!

Active April News AquariumJoin the fun at SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium this school holidays as the Penguin Playground comes to life with penguin themed activities in celebration of our cutest residents, the King Penguin chicks!

Waddle in during the Easter holidays for penguin themed playtime. Learn all there is to know about penguins at the interactive penguin discovery table, get in disguise with your own take-home penguin mask and ask all your penguin questions at the penguin presentations held throughout the day.

Basil, E.J., Pan-Pan and Sybil are growing up so quickly, born weighing approximately 200 grams each, they now weigh over 10 kilograms. Thanks to their very healthy appetites all the chicks are bigger and fluffier then ever!

Slowly the chicks are getting their independence from their parents; eating whole fish and venturing out. They are developing social skills and soon they will be able to interact with the rest of the colony.

2016’s successful King breeding season is the fifth in a row for SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium, a true testament to the health and happiness of the birds. SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium is one of the few places you can view these amazing birds and learn about their breeding process and lifecycle.
