Premiers Active April
It’s one of the most exciting upgrades to Premier’s Active April – we’ve integrated our app with Fitbit. This means that your Fitbit automatically tracks your activity and logs it with the Premier’s Active April app. So, rather than spending time making calculations, spend it walking, yoga-ing, swimming, or gym-ing. And, the more you get active, the more chance you have to win some of the great prizes on offer.
If you don’t have a Fitbit already, by registering to Premier’s Active April you’ll get 20% off when you purchase one. Check out the Fitbit site for more info on what a Fitbit can do – there’s some amazing functionality for supporting your health that goes way beyond simply monitoring step count.
The big difference this year is that we’ve made it easier to win prizes in regional areas across the state. In an effort to encourage participation from all over Victoria, we’ve created competitions in six regions: Barwon South West, Grampians, Loddon Mallee, Hume, Gippsland, and Melbourne metro.
As an example, when you register as a School Team you’ll now only be competing against other schools within your region, as opposed to the whole of the state. And then, to make things really fair, you’ll only be up against schools of a similar size. We’ve made it so that effort counts, and that everyone has a shot at an awesome prize.
Instead of throwing everyone into one big pool, we’re awarding prizes for all different kinds of effort. There’s prizes for registering and prizes for the most activity; there’s prizes for all of the different Team options – ELC Centres, Schools, Families, and Workplaces.
To learn more about other team and registration prizes on offer, check out the PRIZES page on our website.
We have so many committed and incredible partners working with us this April and the abundance of offers for participants is next level. We’re thankful that so many organisations want to get behind Victorians making the effort to get more active. They’re providing free passes and discounts that can really make a difference for people who want to get involved, and even try something new.
Here’s some of the things on offer in 2020: free passes for the YMCA and Cardio Tennis; free guided walks with Parks Victoria, free entry for kids at Otway Fly Treetop Adventures, and free court hire with Tennis Victoria. Plus, a free three-month membership to Bicycle Network.
Then you also have significant discounts for: 28 by Sam Woods, Fitbit, SEALIFE Melbourne, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre, Sole Motive, Run Melbourne, and Around the Bay.

Check out the Premier’s Active April website to see who has joined the team as an ambassador in 2020. There’s such a diverse range of support this year – human and canine – to get you motivated and inspired to get out there and get moving.
