Join the first ever Women’s Ride

Premier’s Active April is proud to support the Women’s Ride – Victoria’s first mass participation riding event designed especially for women.

With rides all across the state, it’s the perfect chance to get out for a spin and celebrate women’s riding in all its forms. Join the fun on Sunday, 12 April.

About the Women’s Ride

Unlike other organised rides, the Women’s Ride is not focused around a single ride or single event. Instead it’s all about you! Cycling Victoria have teamed up with Vic Health, The Amy Gillett Foundation and The Squeaky Wheel for the world’s first single day celebration of women’s riding.

You can take part in an existing ride or you can set up a ride with your family, friends or colleagues. With a variety of riding events already planned across Victoria including recreational group riding, casual social rides and even racing for those looking for a high intensity workout, there’s something for all levels and experience. And if there’s no event nearby, you can start your own!

On the day, a number of hubs will be set up around Melbourne and regional Victoria to provide riders with a place to meet up, begin or end their rides and meet other people contributing to the event. For Melbourne riders a central hub will be set up in the Docklands precinct where a range of activities and entertainment will be on offer.

How to get involved

Both women and men can participate and registration is strongly encouraged. Registered riders will receive a package of discounts and gifts so just like when you’ve registered for Active April, everyone’s a winner!

It’s all about getting out on the bike with friends and family and enjoying a wonderful pedal-powered day. So make sure you put Sunday, 12 April in the diary. We encourage all Active April participants to join the fun!
